"We Are Seven" is a poem by William Wordsworth about a conversation between a narrator and a little girl who claims she has seven siblings . The narrator is confused because the girl explains that two siblings have died and are buried in the churchyard, leading him to believe there are only five living children. The girl's innocent perspective is that since their graves are nearby and she still feels their presence, they are all still "seven".
